Resident Care Attendant

Jazz Lévis, a friendly private seniors' residence, is looking for someone to fill a part-time night shift Resident Care Attendant position. ***Candidates must hold a Personal Assistance in Institutions and Homes (AP/RPA) or DEP (Diploma of Vocational Studies) in Personal Assistance in Institutions and at Home, or a Recognition of Acquired Competencies (RAC) certificate, or have accumulated 5,000 hours of experience in the last 5 years as a Personal Care Attendant (PAB) + current 16-hour CPR certification + completed PDSP (Personalized Support Plan).***

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Schedule: 1 night shift (4/14) including one weekend out of two and one weekday night. (Midnight - 8:00 a.m.)
Salary: $21.27/hour + night shift premium + salary increase based on experience

ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist and/or accompany residents in getting around
• Contribute to the adjustment of a residents' action plan based on their observations
• Contribute to the development of a residentsè action plan based on their observations
• Distribute medication in pill organizers and provide some invasive care (as needed and provided you have the necessary training)
• Respond to all emergency situations
• While interacting with them, report any noticeable changes in a residents mental or physical health to the on-call nurse.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Up-to-date CPR/AED general first aid training
• AP/RPA or DEP training in personal assistance in establishments and at home
• PDSP training
• Competency 6 (Law 90)
