Role Purpose

Are you ready to make a significant impact? As a Branch Merchandiser , you will drive branch performance through innovative space planning and merchandising. Your expertise will lead planograms and space planning activities, delivering insightful analyses of store space and sales to ensure our ranges are perfectly sized, commercially focused, and consistently executed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planogram Development: Own the creation and maintenance of accurate planograms using Scorpion, JDA, or similar systems.

  • Space Optimization: Lead space planning activities, analyzing sales, store profiles, and productivity to maximize store space.

  • Range Management: Ensure all new ranges, seasonal changes, and promotions are strategically planned and commercially justified.

  • NPD Support: Assist with new product launches and promotional execution from a space perspective.

  • Performance Analysis: Analyze sales and space performance to optimize categories, fixtures, and ranges.

  • Space Review: Identify over-spaced and under-spaced areas, recommending reallocations as needed.

  • Impact Tracking: Monitor the effects of space and range changes, adjusting plans based on trading patterns.

  • Insight Reporting: Produce clear, insight-driven reports to support commercial decision-making.

  • Planogram Implementation: Oversee the effective execution of planograms in-store, ensuring layouts are practical and maximize productivity.

  • Branch Visits: Conduct regular visits to assess merchandising standards, planogram compliance, and stock effectiveness.

  • Feedback Provision: Deliver actionable, commercially focused feedback to branches and head office teams.

  • Support Store Initiatives: Assist with store openings, refits, and floor moves to meet trading needs.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with Buying & Merchandising, VM, and Marketing teams to align strategies.

Key Skills & Experience
  • Experience: Proven background in Branch Merchandising, Space Planning, or a similar role.

  • Software Proficiency: Strong experience with space planning software like Scorpion, JDA, or equivalent.

  • Analytical Skills: Excellent commercial and analytical capabilities, with a focus on store and space performance analysis.

  • Data Translation: Ability to convert data and insights into clear, actionable recommendations.

Essential Qualities
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Ability to analyze sales performance and make data-driven decisions.

  • Advanced Excel skills.

  • Commercially driven and results-focused.

  • Ability to interpret reports and present findings clearly.
