Senior Project Electrical Engineer

As Senior Project Electrical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of complex electrical designs from concept through construction and commissioning, leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering technically excellent, future-focused solutions.

The role is primarily office-based with regular site and client engagement.

• Lead electrical design delivery for major Energy & Industrial projects
  
• Develop MV/LV distribution systems, substations, and power infrastructure
  
• Design primary & secondary electrical systems including protection & control
  
• Deliver power systems studies: load flow, short circuit, protection coordination & grid connection
  
• Support renewable integration: solar, wind, BESS, microgrids & hybrid systems
  
• Prepare detailed drawings, schematics, layouts & technical specifications
  
• Specify transformers, switchgear, HV & underground cables, protection equipment
  
• Design earthing/grounding systems in line with standards & site conditions
  
• Produce full tender documentation and technical evaluations
  
• Contribute to development of internal electrical design standards
  
• Mentor junior engineers and lead knowledge sharing
  
• Act as key technical interface with clients, utilities, contractors & project teams
  

• 
  
• Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  
• 10+ years’ experience delivering complex electrical projects at senior level
  
• Strong background in power, energy, or industrial sectors
  
• Chartered Engineer status advantageous
  
• Deep knowledge of MV/LV systems, substations, protection & control, grid connections
  
• Experience with renewables & energy storage
  
• Familiar with Irish & international standards (ETCI, IEC, IS, BS, EN, CIBSE)
  
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Amtech, Dialux, Revit (power system analysis tools beneficial)
