Senior Electrical Engineer

As Senior Electrical Engineer, you’ll work across a mix of residential and commercial developments, taking responsibility for the delivery of electrical building services design from early concept right through to handover.

You’ll lead various stages of the design process, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and provide technical input across a range of live projects. Your day-to-day will involve:

• Leading the design of LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, containment and general electrical building services systems
• Producing technical calculations, reports, drawings and specifications
• Working closely with mechanical, architectural and structural teams to ensure services are fully integrated into the overall design
• Managing design deliverables across project stages and ensuring client requirements are met
• Reviewing drawings, submittals and technical queries during construction
• Supporting site inspections, commissioning reviews and client meetings where required
• Mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance
• Contributing to QA processes, sustainability targets and general design best practice
• Representing the electrical discipline in design team and client meetings

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering
• 6+ years’ experience in electrical building services design
• Strong understanding of LV systems, lighting design, earthing/bonding, life safety systems and energy-efficient solutions
• Experience working on residential or commercial building projects
• Familiarity with industry software such as Dialux/Relux, AutoCAD, xcfaprz Revit or Amtech
• Working knowledge of Irish Building Regulations, ET101 and relevant IS standards
• Ability to work collaboratively across disciplines and communicate effectively with design teams and clients
• Experience managing deadlines and coordinating project deliverables
• Chartered status, or working towards it, would be an advantage
