We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Clerk for our warehouse located in Portland, Oregon. This position is vital for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our stock levels, ensuring that our logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be responsible for tracking inventory movements, conducting cycle counts, and reconciling discrepancies to maintain optimal stock management.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and put-away processes to ensure proper stocking.
- Generate inventory reports and provide data to management.
- Ensure proper storage and organization of all inventory items.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Collaborate with other warehouse teams to ensure inventory accuracy across all functions.
- Identify and report damaged or expired stock.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree preferred.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar inventory control role.
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems (WMS) and spreadsheet software (e.g., Excel).
- Excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate Lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and logistics best practices.
- Commitment to workplace safety and knowledge of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Effective communication skills for reporting and collaborating.
