We are looking for a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our busy warehouse facility in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient and accurate processing of all incoming inventory. Your duties will include unloading, inspecting, and documenting deliveries, ensuring that our inventory system is up-to-date and precise. This position is critical for maintaining the flow of goods into our warehouse and supporting our overall logistics operations.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload merchandise from various carriers, ensuring accuracy against shipping manifests.
- Inspect all incoming products for damage or shortages and report discrepancies.
- Enter receiving data into the warehouse management system (WMS) promptly and accurately.
- Organize and stage received goods for efficient put-away.
- Maintain a clean and orderly receiving dock and surrounding areas.
- Assist with inventory control measures, including cycle counting.
- Follow all established safety protocols and utilize appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with suppliers, warehouse staff, and transportation teams.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues related to incoming shipments.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a warehouse receiving or similar role.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and data entry.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Knowledge of logistics and supply chain processes.
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to regulations.
- Understanding of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) usage.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
