We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Los Angeles, California. This role is crucial to our daily operations, ensuring that all outgoing shipments are accurately processed, documented, and prepared for dispatch. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of warehouse procedures. You will be responsible for verifying order accuracy, generating shipping labels, coordinating with carriers, and maintaining organized shipping records. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to grow within the logistics industry.Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and accurately process all outgoing shipments.
- Verify the contents of outgoing shipments against orders and invoices.
- Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and customs forms when necessary.
- Operate shipping software and label printing equipment.
- Schedule pickups with various shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS, LTL).
- Maintain a clean and organized shipping area.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external vendors.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment is a plus.
- Proficiency in computer applications, including shipping software.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and the proper use of PPE.
- Must be able to perform tasks requiring moderate lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- A proactive approach to problem-solving in a fast-paced logistics setting.
