Job Description
We are currently recruiting for a Sales Operations Specialist in High Point, NC! This is a fully on-site, temp to hire position with a small, growing company! This role focuses on supporting key accounts across all operational areas. Focusing on balancing Supply with Demand for both warehouse and direct orders, while addressing and resolving obstacles to ensure seamless order shipments. We are looking for someone who has at least 2 years of experience! You are working heavily with Sales Reps, need someone who is driven, motivated, bubbly, outspoken and detail oriented. Must have strong technical skills, specifically with Excel!
Responsibilities:
- Work with key customers to review priorities and expectations.
- Serve as the main point of contact for a group of major customers (group may change as needed).
- Ensure orders are entered correctly and shipped on time.
- Regularly review customer container bookings and follow up with sales/external partners to prevent shipping delays.
- Analyze customer demand and maintain updated demand forecasts by customer and material type.
- Partner with Sales to determine timing for new customer starts.
- Track new starts for trends and support supply planning.
- Join special project review meetings to ensure major customer launches stay on schedule.
- Attend and contribute to weekly operational and customer review meetings.
- Provide backup support for other team members when needed.
- Review customer product lineups vs. supply reports to identify changes and coordinate communication with reps/accounts.
- Prepare reports for management when needed.
- Help develop performance metrics for major customers.
- Complete additional tasks and reporting as assigned.
- At least 2 years of experience in sales operations, customer operations, or a related support role.
- Strong understanding of sales processes, order management, and forecasting workflows.
- ERP experience preferred.
- Excellent analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in data entry and reporting.
- Ability to build and maintain cross-functional relationships with Sales, Supply Chain, Operations, and Customer Service.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, basic formulas) and experience creating dashboards or reports.
- Comfortable working independently and solving problems with minimal supervision.
- Ability to understand and communicate product, inventory, and supply chain details.
- Strong commitment to continuous improvement and process efficiency.
- Experience working with KPIs, performance metrics, or sales reporting.
