We are seeking an organized and efficient Receiving Clerk for our busy warehouse in Portland, Oregon. This role is essential for managing the inflow of goods into our facility, ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately documented, inspected, and stored. If you have a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to safety, this position offers a great opportunity to contribute to our logistics operations. You will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to maintain inventory accuracy and ensure a smooth flow of materials. - Unloading incoming freight from trucks.
- Verifying received goods against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy.
- Inspecting goods for any damages or discrepancies.
- Documenting all received inventory accurately in our system.
- Tagging and organizing received items for proper storage.
- Directing received materials to the appropriate warehouse locations or departments.
- Maintaining a clean and organized receiving area.
- Adhering to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse/logistics role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and occasional Lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and verification.
- Proficiency with basic computer systems and data entry.
- Understanding of warehouse receiving procedures.
- Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety guidelines.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
