Job Description

This is an opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys leading people, making professional decisions, and building a dispensary team that delivers consistently high standards every day.

About the Role

As Supervising Pharmacist, you’ll be responsible for the professional oversight of the pharmacy, ensuring patient safety, quality, and compliance at all times.

Your Role Will Include
  • Delivering high-quality pharmacy services through expert clinical care and advice
  • Being professionally and ethically accountable for pharmacy operations
  • Ensuring prescriptions are clinically appropriate, legally compliant, and dispensed in line with SOPs
  • Supervising and supporting the dispensary team throughout the dispensing process
  • Developing the capability of pharmacy staff through guidance, training, and day-to-day leadership
  • Carrying out ongoing review through audit, observation, and risk assessment to maintain patient and customer safety
  • Providing professional advice on prescription, OTC, and complementary medicines
  • Building positive relationships with patients, colleagues, and local healthcare professionals
  • Maintaining high standards of accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism
What you will need
  • Registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI) or eligibility to register
  • Experience working in a community pharmacy setting
  • Strong professional judgement and a high standard of clinical and ethical practice
  • Confidence supervising and supporting a dispensary team
  • A collaborative, approachable xcfaprz leadership style
  • Excellent communication skills and a genuine commitment to patient care
