Responsibilities
- Take the lead on a varied portfolio of SME clients, acting as their main point of contact for all accounting and tax matters.
- Oversee the preparation of: Financial statements (non‑audit), Corporation tax compliance, Company secretarial filings and VAT and payroll returns
- Manage workflows and delegate tasks across the non‑audit team to ensure efficient and timely delivery.
- Review and sign off on files, outputs and financial statements prior to final issue.
- Provide expert technical guidance to team members and clients.
- Work closely with existing clients to uncover new opportunities and offer value‑added services.
- Identify areas to cross‑sell or promote additional firm offerings.
- Ensure assignments are completed on time and within budget.
- Support income tax compliance including accounts prep, Form 11 submissions and client liaison.
- Play a key role in staff development, training and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with the management team to drive business development and help grow the client base.
Requirements
- Qualified ACA, ACCA (or equivalent), with a minimum of 2 years’ post‑qualification experience in practice.
- Strong working knowledge of FRS 102 and tax compliance across key heads: Corporation Tax, PAYE, VAT.
- Experience managing both clients and internal teams.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, Bright) and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills and a professional, client‑focused approach.
Desirable
- Experience working with multi‑entity clients.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced and growing organisation.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with company secretarial compliance.
Salary & Benefits
- Salary: €68,000 – €78,000 (commensurate with experience)
