Staff Software Engineer, Audio DSP Technology - Digital Signal Processing / C/C++ / Embedded

We’re partnered with a globally recognised Semicon company and they’re seeking a Staff Software Engineer to design and optimize advanced audio and multimedia software for embedded platforms. This role focuses on real time audio processing, DSP pipelines, and low level system development across CPU, DSP, and SoC environments.

This role is based in Cork, Ireland and will require onsite work.

• 
  
• Develop and optimize embedded audio software and DSP pipelines
  
• Build real time audio signal chains from capture to playback
  
• Design and debug drivers and system level software on ARM and DSP platforms
  
• Optimize for latency, power, memory, and performance
  
• Collaborate across hardware, systems, and product teams
  
• Contribute to open source audio frameworks used in commercial products
  

• 
  
• BSc with 4+ years, MSc with 3+ years, or PhDc with 2+ years of software engineering experience
  
• Strong C and C++ skills, plus Python or scripting experience
  
• Embedded, multi‑threaded, and RTOS development experience
  
• Audio and multimedia framework experience
  
• DSP and real time signal processing knowledge
  
• Familiarity with audio interfaces like I2S, TDM, or SoundWire
  
• Open source experience with projects such as ALSA or PipeWire is a strong plus
