This position requires physical stamina, as there will be frequent lifting involved, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. A strong understanding of logistics principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving are essential for success in this role. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment.
- Verify shipment contents against order details.
- Generate shipping labels and required documentation.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pick-ups and deliveries.
- Maintain organized and clean work areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking.
- Perform general warehouse duties as needed.
- Ensure proper handling of materials to prevent damage.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock management.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisor.
- Demonstrate commitment to a culture of safety and efficiency in logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a shipping or warehouse environment preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Familiarity with shipping software and carrier portals.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills.
- Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
