Northrop Grumman Mission Systems is seeking an experienced Windows Systems Administrator to join its Classified Solutions team in Annapolis, MD. The candidate selected for this role will be required to work on-site, full-time, at our Annapolis campus; this is not a remote work opportunity. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following: Provide technical support for Windows servers and workstations along with associated networks. Install, harden, and patch Windows operating systems. Configure, deploy, and harden thick, thin, and zero client PC. Manage Thin and Zero Client management servers. Manage Windows Deployment Server (WDS), create and harden WDS gold images, and deploy WDS gold images to laboratory thick client PCs. Coordinate with users, program staff, server administrators, network engineers, and customer and IT management. Establish and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction according to defined objectives while adhering to established policies. Work with engineers to resolve support issues, escalating to proper personnel when appropriate. Participate in new installations, testing, and special projects as needed. Exhibit good communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers. Basic Qualifications: Associate's degree and 7 years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor's degree and 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience; a High School diploma or equivalent and 9 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a completed degree. Candidates must have a current DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance with a current DoD polygraph (adjudicated within the last 5 years) or must be enrolled in the Continuous Evaluation (CE) Program, to be considered; additionally, the required security clearance must be maintained as a condition of continued employment. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain and maintain access to Special Programs as a condition of continued employment. Current DoD 8570 IAT level II (or higher) security certification (examples: Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, CySA+, CND; the required certification must be maintained as a condition of continued employment. Experience supporting large user populations in a secure environment. Experience with Microsoft products such as Windows 10/11, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio. Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in administration and troubleshooting of desktop PCs. Knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy Management, Exchange, MS SQL, and WSUS. Windows 7/10/11 administration experience; Windows Server 2012/2016 experience; Group Policies (GPOs) experience; Active Directory management experience. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where multiple projects are being developed and deployed simultaneously. Ability to work well within a team environment and be able to adapt quickly to change. Interest in engineering tools and control systems.
