SimoTechhas a new opportunity for an experienced MES Engineer to join our teamsupporting a global pharmaceutical organisation onsite in their large Corkcampus, which includes multiple high-technology manufacturing platforms.

Thishybrid role is primarily focused on Recipe Authoring and forms part of the ITManufacturing team, which supports various business functions within the site'sAPI pharmaceutical facility. The ideal candidate for this role will have atleast 5 years’ experience with Emerson Syncade systems within the life sciencesindustry.

KeyResponsibilities

• Process mapping of existingmanufacturing processes and development, implementation, and support of MESrecipes.
  
• Take a leading role in recipe design sessions withBusiness Process SMEs.
  
• Carry out testing and change control activitiesrelated to the MES recipes changes.
  
• Develop, configure, and test MBRsfrom initial to final design.
  
• Participate in MBR developmentdesign reviews including communicating cross-functionally with Automation, LabSystems, ERP, and Quality groups.
  
• Provide support and technicalexpertise for the ongoing development of the site MES system in development ofMBRs and improving the MES business processes.
  
• Take part in the training of allrelevant EBR end-users and the ongoing development, review, and update of allrelevant SOPs.
  
• Carry out troubleshooting andfault-finding where required for MES and all relevant interfaces as required.
  

Key Requirements

• 5+years’ experience as an MES Engineer within the life sciences industry
  
• Bachelor’sdegree in engineering, computer science, life sciences, or similar.
  
• Astrong understanding of manufacturing processes and practices within a GMPenvironment.
  
• Broad technical experience in thedelivery of MES systems/projects including design, configuration, and testing.
  
• Experiencewith Emerson Syncade within a pharmaceutical API environment.
  
• Provenanalytical and problem-solving ability to identity the root-cause and solutionsfor technical issues related to MES systems, configurations, or integrations.
  
• Strongcommunication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build solid workingrelationships that enable cross-functional cooperation and enhances stakeholderengagement.
  
• Experienceintegrating MES systems to other systems such as DCS, SCADA or ERP is highlybeneficial.
