.Net Technical Lead

We’ve partnered with a long-established and highly respected organisation in the Irish market who are undertaking a significant technology transformation. This is a major, multi-year programme with strong investment in modern platforms, cloud services and delivery practices.

We’ve placed a number of contractors within this environment already and consistently receive excellent feedback on the culture, leadership and overall working environment.

This is not a traditional software developer role, the requirement is for a Solution Architect / Software Development Team Lead to support a critical workstream within a large programme. A single workstream is now being split into two and more architectural and technical leadership is needed to provide further coverage.

The role sits nicely between architecture and delivery hands-on where needed, but with a clear focus on design, direction and team leadership.

This position could suit a very senior .NET developer who has moved into (or is moving towards) architecture and technical leadership, and who is comfortable guiding teams while still getting involved in low-level design when required.

• Provide solution and low-level design across APIs, Azure Function Apps and cloud-based services
• Act as technical lead for a team of developers, offering guidance, mentoring and oversight
• Support architectural decision-making and help define standards and boundaries
• Work closely with existing architects, development leads and stakeholders across the programme
• Step in where needed to unblock delivery and ensure quality outcomes

• Strong background in C# / .NET development
• Proven experience designing and delivering xcfaprz .NET Core services and APIs
• Solid hands-on experience with Azure, including Function Apps and related services
• Experience leading or managing development teams in a delivery environment
• Comfortable producing low-level designs and reviewing technical solutions
• Strong appreciation for good engineering practices, QA and delivery processes
