Surgery - Neurosurgery Physician

Locum Neurosurgeon (Jackson, MI)

Seeking a Board Eligible or Board Certified Neurosurgeon to provide adult neurosurgery and trauma coverage on a locum basis. This is a hospital-based role focused on weekend and holiday call support at a Level II trauma center.

Position Highlights:

• Adult neurosurgery and trauma care, including brain bleed management, trauma repair, and spine surgery (fusion, laminectomy, diskectomy, vertebroplasty/kyphoplasty)

• Critical care procedures including EVD management and ICP/CPP monitoring

• 24-hour call coverage from Friday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM

• Coverage needed ASAP with an indefinite duration

• Work alongside a team of two neurosurgeons plus locum support

• Epic EMR system

Requirements:

• Board Eligible or Board Certified in Neurosurgery

• Active Michigan medical license

• BLS certification

• Ability to independently manage adult neurosurgery and trauma cases

• Experience with Epic EMR

• Ability to cover 24-hour weekend and holiday call

• Current NPDB self-query (within 30 days of presentation)

• Fellowship training preferred

Credentialing is estimated at days. Travel accommodations, including flight, hotel, and rental car, are provided.
