Civil Project Engineer

Part of the Dussmann Group of companies based out of Berlin, STS Group is an engineering contractor focused on mission critical projects across Europe and the Middle East. We are predominantly focused on electrical packages of work, and growing our involvement in transmission and distribution projects.

We are seeking a Civil Project Engineer to join our renewable energy projects around Munster, and eventually Nationwide. This person will be our civils specialist, responsible for supporting the delivery of renewable energy and grid infrastructure projects, including substations and HV/MV grid route works. The role involves coordinating civil engineering activities, ensuring designs are implemented correctly, and supporting integration between civil and electrical disciplines.

• Oversee civil engineering elements of renewable and T&D projects, including substations and grid routes.
  
• Review and interpret civil designs, ensuring they are implemented accurately and in line with project requirements.
  
• Carry out site visits to monitor progress, verify construction against design, and address technical issues.
  
• Provide technical input during design development and project planning.
  
• Proactively identify and communicate any project risks throughout the project life cycle.
  
• Liaise with the SHEQ Manager (Safety, Health, Environment & Quality) on all project SHEQ matters.

• Civil engineering diploma or degree.
  
• 5+ years' relevant site engineering experience, ideally with exposure to power infrastructure projects.
  
• Strong IT and reporting skills.
  
• A flexible and delivery‑focused mindset.
  
• Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills.
  
• Ability to motivate and encourage others whilst taking the lead.
