Senior Estimator

My client, a leading provider of structural steel solutions in Ireland, with a strong reputation for quality, safety, and innovation are looking for a Senior Estimator to join their team in . They design, fabricate and erect structural steel for large-scale Pharmaceutical and Blue-Chip projects across Ireland, UK and Europe.

This role will play a key part in driving the continued growth of the business by providing accurate and competitive estimates on major steel projects.

• Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive cost estimates for structural steel projects.
  
• Review tender documentation, drawings, and specifications to fully understand client requirements.
  
• Liaise with clients, consultants, architects, and subcontractors to clarify scope and gather pricing information.
  
• Develop pricing strategies in line with company objectives and market conditions.
  
• Prepare and present tender submissions, cost reports, and bid clarifications.
  
• Work closely with the contracts and project management teams to ensure smooth handover of successful bids.
  
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, steel fabrication methods, and market pricing.
  
• Mentor and support junior estimators within the estimating department.
  

• 
  
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in structural steel estimating in Ireland.
  
• Strong knowledge of structural steel fabrication and erection processes.
  
• Proven track record in preparing accurate tenders for medium to large-scale projects.
  
• Excellent numerical, analytical, and negotiation skills.
  
• Proficiency in relevant estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work closely with multiple stakeholders.
  
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and work to tight deadlines.
