Unijobs on behalf of our public sector client have a requirement for a Senior Project Manager to join their team. The duration of this post is 12 months initially and location is Flexible/Hybrid working will apply - must be able to attend meetings/workshops as required.

Working 35 hours per week, the successful candidate will be employed as an agency employee and will be paid an hourly rate of €45.49 per hour based on an annualised salary of €83,081. You will accrue 30 days annual leave per year and paid Bank Holidays.


The Senior Project Manager will support the delivery of an ICT Programme within our client ensuring effective governance, programme reporting, financial management, and RAID management. This role requires excellent communication skills to engage with C-suite executives and provide high-quality reports for senior executives, boards, and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess a combination of soft skills, the ability to own deliverables end-to-end, and work independently.


Key Responsibilities
Governance

  • Establish governance and reporting cadences to track the delivery of recommendations outlined across various reports.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to gather and consolidate progress reports.
  • Monitor key milestones, deliverables, and timelines to ensure alignment with the organisation’s strategy.
  • Facilitate regular governance meetings to review progress and make strategic decisions.
  • Communicate and implement outcomes of governance directives across the programme.
  • Track and report on the execution of key initiatives and programmes

Service Planning

  • Ensure ICT services are planned and delivered in accordance with strategic goals.
  • Enhance prioritisation methodologies incorporating recommendations from various internal and external reports
  • Collaborate with service delivery teams to align with remediation objectives.
  • Facilitate communication and reporting between the Programme and key wider stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive reports highlighting achievements, challenges, and next steps.
  • Oversee financial management and funding for certain elements of the Programme.
  • Monitor financial transactions to ensure alignment with the approved budget.
  • Provide regular financial reports to stakeholders, highlighting budget status and variances.

RAID Management

  • Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate risks and issues impacting programme delivery.
  • Maintain documentation and management of all identified risks and issues.

External Engagement

  • Manage stakeholder engagement and support prioritization of ICT initiatives.
  • Ensure appropriate allocation of funding to areas in line with the Organisation’s strategy

Qualifications

  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Project Manager, in the public sector in an ICT/ Cyber or related fields.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with C-suite executives and produce high-quality reports.

  • Experience with public procurement, financial management and reporting processes
  • Experience operating in a fast-paced multi-vendor and stakeholder environment
