Claims Manager

This role reports directly into the Head of Claims and will manage a team of four managers.

The goal is to deliver fast, fair outcomes while supporting a team that takes pride in its work.

• Translate strategic goals into clear objectives for managers and teams, ensuring strong delivery across the claims function.
  
• Lead managers to drive performance, coaching, development, and succession planning.
  
• Oversee claims service delivery, tracking performance through meaningful KPI review and action.
  
• Partner with internal teams and outsourcing partners to deliver timely settlements supported by simple processes and technology.
  
• Champion improved customer journeys and support digital and process enhancements that make work easier for staff and clearer for customers.
  
• Build cross‑skilling opportunities and promote a strong, engaged team culture aligned to customer expectations.
  
• Work with senior leadership on claims strategy, anticipating change and guiding the team through operational improvements.
  
• Serve as the subject expert for Damage Claims, sharing knowledge and supporting consistent service across the wider business.
  
• Represent the company at internal and external forums, ensuring alignment with best practice.
  

• 
  
• 4+ years leading people and operations in a claims or similar environment.
  
• Experience driving operational change and supporting transformation work.
  
• Industry qualifications such as APA (Personal & Commercial), CIP, Dip CII, ACII, or equivalent.

• Understanding of regulatory expectations within general insurance.
