Electrical Estimator - Quantity Surveyor

Location: Dublin 12 | Full-Time | Competitive Salary (Based on Experience)

JOL Electrical is a well‑established and growing electrical contracting company based in Dublin 12. We deliver high‑quality services across commercial, residential, and industrial sectors. As our project portfolio continues to expand, we’re looking for a versatile and detail‑focused Electrical Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our team.

This hybrid role combines estimating and quantity surveying responsibilities. You’ll prepare cost estimates and tender submissions, monitor project finances, and assist with invoicing. You’ll play a key part in ensuring projects are delivered on budget and with financial efficiency.

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender submissions
  
• Review drawings, layouts, and technical specifications to assess materials and labour requirements
  
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to source competitive pricing
  
• Monitor project costs, variations, and progress claims
  
• Generate and manage interim and final valuations and project invoices
  
• Assist project managers with cost planning, forecasting, and financial reporting
  
• Maintain accurate records of estimates, contracts, and project changes
  

• 
  
• Minimum 1 year of experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or the electrical/construction sector
  
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, materials, and construction contracts
  
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOQs
  
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); experience with estimating or invoicing software is a plus
  
• Excellent numerical accuracy, attention to detail, and organisational skills
  
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities
  
• Ability to manage deadlines xcfaprz and prioritise multiple tasks effectively
