We are now looking for an experienced Transport Operations Manager to join our leadership team and play a key role in our continued success.

The Role: This is a hands‑on leadership position at the heart of our operation. You will oversee the day‑to‑day running of our fleet and drivers while ensuring full compliance with Irish Operator Licence requirements. We are looking for someone who combines strong operational experience with a genuine people‑first approach — someone who can lead confidently, support their team, and maintain the high standards our customers expect.

  • Ensure full compliance with Irish Road Transport Operator Licence (RTO) obligations
    
  • Liaise with the National Transport Authority (NTA) as required
    
  • Ensure compliance with regulations set by the Road Safety Authority (RSA)
    
  • Maintain accurate records for vehicle roadworthiness, CVRT, tachographs, and Driver CPC certification
    
  • Ensure adherence to EU Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Directive regulations
    
  • Prepare for and manage inspections or compliance audits

  • Oversee daily scheduling, dispatch, and route planning
    
  • Manage driver rotas and working hours within legal requirements
    
  • Support drivers and operational staff, promoting high standards and teamwork
    
  • Resolve day‑to‑day operational challenges calmly and efficiently
    
  • Monitor fleet utilisation and service performance
    
  
  
• Fleet Maintenance & Roadworthiness

  • Ensure routine preventative maintenance schedules are strictly followed
    
  • Coordinate servicing, inspections, CVRT testing, and repairs
    
  • Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records
    
  • Work closely with maintenance providers to minimise downtime and keep vehicles road‑ready
    
  
  
• Payroll & Administration

  • Manage and operate the company payroll system
    
  • Accurately process driver hours, overtime, allowances, holiday pay, and absences
    
  • Ensure payroll compliance with Irish employment legislation
    
  • Maintain organised and up‑to‑date staff and compliance records
    
  
  
• Customer Service & Client Relationships

  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients
    
  • Manage service planning, quotations, and customer expectations
