SEN Teacher

Basic Salary: £28,000 - £39,520

Contract: Full Time, Term Time Only

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Located in Wigan, our new school provides a safe and supportive environment for pupils aged 5 to 16 years. As part of the Polaris Community, we have been dedicated to improving the lives of young people for over 30 years.

• Plan and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the national curriculum, addressing the complex ASC & SEMH needs of all pupils.
• Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviors.
• Report on pupils' progress and concerns, collaborating with other staff to ensure all needs are met.
• Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extracurricular activities and school trips.
• Build positive relationships with pupils to drive interaction and achieve positive learning outcomes.

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• Possess a suitable qualification at degree level
• Demonstrate previous successful teaching experience
• Have experience working with pupils with SEND in an educational setting
• Show proficiency in behavior management techniques
• Be committed to professional development and eager to learn
• Willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to starting work

The successful candidate will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Check, the cost of which will be covered by Polaris Education.
