Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to join our team in the heart of New York City, New York. This vital role ensures the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods, acting as the first line of control in our supply chain. Your responsibilities will include unloading trucks, meticulously verifying incoming inventory against purchase orders, conducting thorough inspections for damage, and accurately documenting all received items into our system. Maintaining a high standard of workplace safety is paramount, and strict adherence to all protocols and the use of necessary PPE is expected. This position is fundamental to our logistics operations, guaranteeing that our inventory is managed correctly from the outset. Responsibilities:
  • Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
  • Accurately check and verify received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
  • Inspect all incoming items for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report findings.
  • Record all received inventory into the company's inventory management system.
  • Stage received products for efficient put-away and distribution.
  • Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment safely.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure receiving area.
  • Strictly adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE .
  • Assist with cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in a warehouse receiving role is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in data entry and experience with inventory management software.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Strong organizational skills and excellent attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of warehouse logistics and inventory control principles.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
