We are seeking a motivated Order Picker to join our logistics team in San Diego, California. This role is fundamental to fulfilling customer orders accurately and efficiently. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for accurately retrieving specified items from warehouse shelves, preparing them for packing and shipment. The ideal candidate is energetic, detail-oriented, and capable of working productively in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will utilize scanning equipment and follow pick lists to ensure order accuracy. A strong commitment to Safety and teamwork is essential for success in this position. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order specifications.
- Use handheld scanners and other equipment to track picked items.
- Verify product codes and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Consolidate picked items and prepare them for the packing station.
- Maintain a clean and organized picking area.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety guidelines and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet or exceed productivity and accuracy targets.
- Assist with inventory cycle counts as needed.
- Support the overall logistics and warehouse operations.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is beneficial.
- Ability to perform tasks involving frequent Lifting, up to 45 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse equipment and scanning technology.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good stamina and the ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Must be able to work flexible shifts if required.
