We are looking for a skilled and reliable Forklift Operator to join our warehouse operations in Colorado Springs, Colorado. This role is vital for the efficient movement of materials within our facility, ensuring that inventory is stored, retrieved, and dispatched safely and effectively. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of operating various types of forklifts in a demanding logistics environment. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, moving goods to and from storage areas, and supporting other warehouse functions. A strong commitment to Safety and operational excellence is essential. This is a hands-on position that requires physical stamina and precision. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers.
- Transport goods to and from designated storage areas.
- Stack and arrange inventory accurately and securely.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Follow all Safety protocols and guidelines, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support overall warehouse operations and logistics flow.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or license.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant Lifting, up to 60 lbs.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- A strong commitment to Safety and quality.
- Experience with warehouse management systems is a plus.
- Team player with good communication skills.
