Join our busy logistics hub in Tampa, Florida, as a Receiving Clerk! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our receiving process. You'll be responsible for unloading delivery vehicles, verifying incoming goods against purchase orders, inspecting for damages, and accurately entering data into our warehouse management system. Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail are essential for success in this position. You'll work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with drivers, warehouse associates, and inventory teams to ensure a smooth flow of materials into the facility. Maintaining a safe work area and adhering to all safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, is a top priority. This role may involve some Lifting of packages and requires the ability to stand for extended periods. Understanding of logistics principles and inventory control is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments from trucks and other vehicles.
- Verify received goods against purchase orders and packing lists.
- Inspect goods for damage or discrepancies.
- Accurately record received items in the warehouse management system.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors.
- Organize and stage incoming inventory for put-away.
- Maintain a clean and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies, including wearing appropriate PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving role preferred.
- Basic computer skills for data entry.
- Ability to read and understand shipping documents.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Capacity for some Lifting.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and PPE.
- Understanding of logistics and inventory processes.
