We have an immediate opening for a Shipping Clerk in our Minneapolis, Minnesota location. As a Shipping Clerk, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and timely dispatch of all outgoing shipments. Your responsibilities will include preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, verifying package contents, and ensuring that all shipments meet regulatory and company standards. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced logistics environment. You will be responsible for maintaining organized shipping records and communicating effectively with internal teams and external carriers. Safety is a top priority, and you will be expected to adhere to all safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required documentation.
- Schedule and coordinate pickups with various shipping carriers.
- Verify that outgoing shipments match order details and documentation.
- Inspect packages for damage and ensure proper packaging.
- Maintain organized shipping logs and records.
- Communicate shipment status updates to relevant parties.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety policies and procedures, including proper lifting and PPE usage.
- Assist with other shipping and receiving duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a shipping, logistics, or administrative role.
- Proficiency with shipping software and general computer applications.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of warehouse operations and safety protocols, including PPE usage.
