Are you a detail-oriented and energetic individual looking for an exciting opportunity in Portland, Oregon? Our fast-paced distribution center is hiring Picker/Packers to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You'll be responsible for picking products from shelves, accurately counting and verifying items, and then meticulously packing them for shipment. This involves using order sheets or scanning devices to locate and retrieve items. Your ability to work efficiently and accurately under pressure will be key to your success. We emphasize a strong commitment to Safety, and all associates are expected to follow established procedures and wear appropriate PPE. This position offers a great entry point into the logistics and e-commerce industry, with opportunities for advancement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order specifications.
- Verify product counts and item numbers to ensure accuracy.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment, using appropriate materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipping.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
- Adhere to all Safety guidelines and procedures.
- Assist with inventory control as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily picking and packing goals.
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a picking or packing role is beneficial, but not required. Must be able to handle frequent Lifting of items up to 30 pounds. Willingness to wear mandatory PPE, including safety glasses and gloves. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Basic math skills for counting. Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods. This role is a cornerstone of our logistics operations, contributing directly to customer satisfaction.
