We are hiring Picker/Packers for our busy facility in New York City, New York. This crucial role involves accurately identifying, retrieving, and preparing customer orders for shipment. You will be responsible for ensuring that each order is picked correctly and packed with care to prevent damage during transit. Success in this role requires a sharp eye for detail, efficiency, and a commitment to customer satisfaction within our logistics operations. The ideal candidate is reliable, proactive, and capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment. Maintaining a safe workplace is paramount, and adherence to all Safety guidelines, including the consistent use of PPE, is mandatory. This position involves regular physical tasks, including moderate Lifting, and requires dedication to performing duties accurately and expediently.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick specified items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets.
- Verify product details and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Package items securely and appropriately for shipment.
- Apply shipping labels and prepare orders for carrier pickup.
- Maintain an organized and tidy work area.
- Assist with stock replenishment and inventory counts.
- Adhere strictly to all Safety protocols and wear designated PPE.
- Meet daily picking and packing performance metrics.
- Communicate any order discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Perform tasks involving Lifting up to 30 pounds regularly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking, packing, or general warehouse work is preferred.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic understanding of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Familiarity with logistics processes is beneficial.
- Physical stamina to perform tasks involving frequent movement and Lifting.
