Operate a forklift and contribute to the efficient movement of goods in our Oklahoma City, Oklahoma warehouse. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely and accurately transporting materials, loading and unloading trucks, and assisting with inventory management. This role requires a skilled and safety-conscious individual with experience operating various types of forklifts. You will ensure that all operations comply with company Safety standards and best practices in the logistics industry. Attention to detail is crucial to prevent damage to products and equipment. The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses excellent spatial awareness, and is committed to maintaining a secure work environment. This position involves significant material handling and requires adherence to all PPE requirements. The ability to manage Lifting tasks is also important.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport products to and from designated storage areas.
- Perform routine checks and basic maintenance on forklifts.
- Assist with inventory counts and record keeping.
- Follow all Safety guidelines and operational procedures.
- Properly utilize PPE and ensure its availability.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Support logistics operations by ensuring timely movement of goods, adhering to Lifting safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification and/or proven experience.
- At least 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
