We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana. As a Shipping Clerk, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient preparation and dispatch of outgoing shipments. Your duties will include verifying order details, selecting appropriate packaging materials, labeling shipments correctly, and coordinating with shipping carriers. You will maintain accurate shipping records and assist in resolving any shipping-related discrepancies or issues. This role is critical to ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our customers and plays a vital part in our overall logistics strategy. The ideal candidate will possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and proficiency in using computer systems for data entry and tracking. Experience with shipping software and familiarity with common carrier procedures is a significant advantage. Safety is a top priority; you will be expected to adhere to all company safety guidelines and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). While primarily an administrative role, some light lifting and maneuvering of packages may be required. A solid understanding of warehouse logistics and supply chain processes is beneficial.
