We are seeking an accurate and organized Inventory Clerk for our warehouse operations in Omaha, Nebraska. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and accuracy of our inventory data. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, verifying stock levels, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that all inventory transactions are accurately recorded in our system. This position involves working closely with warehouse staff and management to resolve inventory issues and improve processes. A keen eye for detail and a methodical approach are essential for success in this role. We prioritize a safe working environment, and all team members are required to follow safety protocols and use appropriate PPE. While this role is primarily focused on data and record-keeping, occasional tasks may involve light Lifting and moving of inventory items to verify counts. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques is highly desirable. Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Track and report on inventory levels and movement.
- Assist in the reconciliation of inventory variances.
- Identify and report damaged or expired stock.
- Coordinate with receiving and shipping departments on inventory matters.
- Ensure accuracy of received and shipped goods against records.
- Follow all safety procedures and utilize required PPE.
- Contribute to process improvements for inventory management.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations.
- Willingness to adhere to safety guidelines.
- Ability to perform light Lifting as needed.
