A leading logistics company in Sacramento, California is looking for certified Forklift Operators to join our team. You will be responsible for operating forklifts and other industrial equipment to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods within the warehouse is paramount. This role requires precision, adherence to safety standards, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment. Proper use of PPE and awareness of lifting requirements are essential. You will play a key role in our supply chain operations, contributing to timely order fulfillment and inventory accuracy.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (counterbalance, reach truck, etc.) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Store and retrieve inventory using a forklift.
- Perform pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with order picking and packing when needed.
- Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized warehouse.
- Follow established logistics procedures.
- Report any damage to goods or equipment immediately.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 50 lbs.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and practices.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Reliable and punctual.
- Willingness to wear required PPE.
