Job Summary:
Join our logistics team in Indianapolis, Indiana, as a Shipping & Receiving Associate! We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to manage the efficient flow of goods into and out of our distribution center. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring that all incoming shipments are accurately received, inspected, and put away, and that all outgoing shipments are prepared correctly and dispatched on time. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records and collaborating with various departments to meet operational demands. We are committed to a safe work environment and require strict adherence to Safety regulations and the proper use of PPE.
Responsibilities:
  • Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders or invoices.
  • Inspect goods for damages or discrepancies and report any issues.
  • Accurately stock received inventory into designated warehouse locations.
  • Prepare, stage, and load outgoing shipments onto trucks.
  • Operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) safely.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using warehouse management systems.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with physical inventory.
  • Ensure compliance with all Safety policies and wear required PPE.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly receiving and shipping dock area.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in shipping and receiving or general warehouse operations.
  • Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 60 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of logistics and inventory control principles.
  • Commitment to Safety and proper use of PPE.
  • Ability to operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely (certification preferred).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities.
