Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to join our team in Minneapolis, Minnesota. In this crucial role, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. Your keen eye for detail will ensure that our stock levels are precise, supporting our overall logistics operations and minimizing discrepancies. You will conduct regular cycle counts, investigate inventory variances, and implement procedures to improve inventory accuracy. This position requires a methodical approach and a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and best practices in logistics. We are committed to a safe working environment and expect all employees to adhere to safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). While this role is primarily focused on data and processes, occasional physical tasks may be required, including lifting items up to 30 pounds. You will collaborate with various warehouse departments to resolve inventory issues and ensure a seamless flow of goods. Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Develop and implement inventory control procedures.
  • Monitor stock levels and identify potential shortages or overages.
  • Assist in the receiving and put-away process to ensure accurate data entry.
  • Generate reports on inventory accuracy and status.
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve inventory processes.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE when performing any physical tasks.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency with WMS and other inventory management software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and PPE requirements.
  • Ability to perform light to moderate lifting (up to 30 lbs).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
