We are seeking a diligent Order Picker to become a key member of our warehouse operations in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently and accurately gathering products from various locations within the warehouse to fulfill customer orders. Your performance directly impacts our logistics and customer satisfaction, so a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy are essential. You will utilize our inventory management system to locate items and ensure they are prepared correctly for packing and shipment. Safety is paramount in our facility; you will be required to follow all safety protocols, including the consistent use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This role involves a significant amount of physical activity, including walking, bending, reaching, and the ability to perform lifting of items weighing up to 50 pounds. Working collaboratively with your team members to ensure a smooth workflow and a tidy workspace is also crucial. Responsibilities:
- Accurately retrieve items from designated warehouse locations according to order slips.
- Verify the quantity and item numbers of picked products.
- Stage picked items for subsequent processing (packing, shipping).
- Maintain an orderly and clean workspace.
- Operate equipment such as pallet jacks to move merchandise.
- Strictly follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Utilize required PPE, such as safety footwear and high-visibility vests.
- Identify and report any stock discrepancies or damages.
- Contribute to inventory control through accurate picking.
- Perform lifting duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous.
- Ability to read and comprehend order forms and item identifiers.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Physical capability for lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Awareness of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic understanding of warehouse logistics.
