Our Houston, Texas facility is looking for enthusiastic Order Pickers to join our warehouse team. As an Order Picker, you will be instrumental in fulfilling customer orders by accurately and efficiently locating, retrieving, and preparing items for shipment. This role is fundamental to our logistics operations, ensuring that our customers receive the correct products in a timely manner. You will be expected to navigate the warehouse using scanning equipment, pick items from designated locations, and prepare them for the next stage of the fulfillment process. A keen eye for detail and the ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure are essential. We foster a culture of safety, and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the correct use of PPE, is mandatory. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Success in this role means contributing directly to customer satisfaction and the smooth operation of our warehouse. Training will be provided on our specific picking methodologies and equipment, but a foundational understanding of warehouse operations and a willingness to learn are key. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order lists.
- Use RF scanners to track inventory and update order status.
- Verify product information and quantities before confirming picks.
- Transport picked items to designated packing or staging areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing required PPE.
- Participate in regular inventory cycle counts.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment responsibly.
- Communicate any stock discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is a plus.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks and moderate Lifting (up to 35 lbs).
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to workplace safety and the use of PPE.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
