We are seeking a skilled and certified Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team in Nashville, Tennessee. This role is critical for the efficient movement of goods within our facility. You will be responsible for operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move materials, and assist with inventory management. A strong emphasis on safety, attention to detail, and experience in a logistics environment are essential. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers safely and efficiently.
- Transport inventory to and from storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks.
- Perform routine checks on forklift equipment to ensure it is in good working order.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counting and put-away.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring clear pathways for movement.
- Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff and logistics personnel.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification is required.
- Proven experience operating various types of forklifts in a warehouse setting.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate to heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Excellent knowledge of safe forklift operation and warehouse safety practices.
- Familiarity with logistics and supply chain operations is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and possess a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to wear all required PPE.
