Join our large-scale distribution center in Houston, Texas, as a Distribution Center Associate. This position is fundamental to our daily operations, involving a range of tasks that ensure the timely and accurate processing of orders. You will be involved in picking, packing, sorting, and moving inventory within the facility. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using scanning equipment or pick sheets
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment
- Sort and organize inventory within the distribution center
- Load and unload trucks as required
- Operate basic warehouse equipment, such as pallet jacks and hand trucks
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock replenishment
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all safety protocols and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding workload and any issues encountered
- Contribute to the overall success of our logistics operations through consistent performance.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is a plus
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent walking, standing, bending, and occasional Lifting of up to 40 pounds
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet performance targets
- Team player with good communication skills
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Willingness to follow instructions and safety guidelines precisely.
