In this critical role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from our extensive inventory to fulfill customer orders. Your ability to work quickly while maintaining precision is key to our logistics success. You will utilize advanced scanning technology and follow detailed pick lists to gather products from various locations within the warehouse. We emphasize a culture of safety, requiring all team members to adhere to strict safety guidelines and utilize provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This physically engaging position involves standing, walking, and lifting throughout your shift. The ideal candidate is reliable, possesses excellent organizational skills, and has a strong work ethic. Your contribution directly impacts our ability to meet customer demands and maintain our reputation for efficient delivery. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves using RF scanners and pick tickets.
- Verify item numbers and quantities against order requirements before transport.
- Stage picked items at designated packing or shipping stations.
- Ensure all picked items are handled with care to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Comply with all company safety policies and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Report any inventory inaccuracies or stock damages to a supervisor.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts as required.
- Meet or exceed established productivity and accuracy standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods.
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanning technology is beneficial.
- A commitment to a safe and productive work environment is essential for success in our logistics operations.
