Our Raleigh, North Carolina location is seeking a motivated Material Handler to join our logistics team. As a Material Handler, you will play a key role in the movement and organization of goods throughout the warehouse. Your primary responsibilities will include operating material handling equipment, loading and unloading trucks, and ensuring that materials are stored correctly and accessible. This role demands physical capability, precision, and a strong focus on safety. You will be working in a dynamic environment where efficiency and accuracy are crucial for successful operations. The ideal candidate is a team player with a solid understanding of warehouse processes and a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment. Full training on equipment operation and safety protocols, including the correct use of PPE, will be provided. This is an excellent career opportunity within the logistics sector. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Store materials in appropriate locations, ensuring proper organization.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting.
- Maintain equipment and report any mechanical issues.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
- Support shipping and receiving activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or operating warehouse equipment is required.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain forklift certification if necessary.
- Ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs).
- Knowledge of logistics and warehouse operations.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to procedures.
- Willingness to wear and utilize all required PPE.
