Our Charlotte, North Carolina logistics center is looking for a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all outgoing shipments, ensuring that our products reach our customers efficiently and safely. Key duties include preparing shipping documentation, coordinating with carriers, verifying order contents, and maintaining organized shipping records. If you have prior experience in shipping, logistics, or a related warehouse environment, and possess strong organizational skills, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities:
- Process and prepare all outgoing shipments, including creating labels and shipping documents (bills of lading, etc.).
- Verify the accuracy of picked orders against shipping manifests before dispatch.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for pickup schedules and track shipment progress.
- Package items securely for transit, ensuring proper protection and labeling.
- Operate shipping software and other warehouse equipment as required.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date shipping records and logs.
- Communicate effectively with internal teams and external customers regarding shipment status.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant transportation regulations and company safety policies.
- Utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed to support overall logistics operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in shipping, logistics, or a similar warehouse role.
- Familiarity with common shipping carriers (UPS, FedEx, USPS) and their systems.
- Proficiency in using shipping software and basic computer applications.
- Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting packages up to 50 lbs.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and handling procedures is important.
