We are looking for energetic Picker/Packers to join our distribution center team in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring that our customers receive their orders accurately and on time. You will navigate the warehouse to pick specific items, verify quantities, and then carefully package them for shipment. This is a dynamic, hands-on position within the exciting field of logistics. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order forms or scanning devices.
- Verify product codes, quantities, and descriptions to ensure order accuracy.
- Package items securely and efficiently for shipment using appropriate materials.
- Label packages correctly for transit.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and contribute to overall warehouse tidiness.
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Operate basic warehouse equipment such as hand trucks and pallet jacks.
- Assist with inventory checks and stock replenishment as needed.
- Meet or exceed daily productivity targets for picking and packing.
- Engage in activities requiring frequent lifting, bending, and standing.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a picking or packing role is helpful but not required.
- Ability to read and understand picking lists and shipping instructions.
- Capability to perform frequent lifting of up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high levels of accuracy.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety procedures and protocols in logistics.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Reliable and punctual with a positive attitude.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
