We are hiring experienced Forklift Operators to join our growing logistics team in San Antonio, Texas. This role is critical for the efficient and safe handling of materials within our distribution center. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for maneuvering materials, loading and unloading trucks, and accurately stocking inventory. Your expertise in operating forklifts ensures the seamless operation of our supply chain. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments accurately and securely.
- Perform pre-operational checks on forklifts and report any maintenance needs promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with stocktaking activities.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Organize warehouse space to optimize storage and accessibility.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed, such as order picking and packing.
- Ensure that loads are properly balanced and secured before transport.
- Participate actively in safety training and team meetings.
- Practice safe lifting and material handling techniques throughout the shift.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift certification (e.g., OSHA).
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts.
- Demonstrated knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics principles.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 55 lbs.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong commitment to safety.
- Must be able to work flexible hours including occasional overtime.
