We are seeking a skilled and dependable Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment within our busy warehouse. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory, and supporting various warehouse operations to ensure a smooth workflow. A strong focus on Safety and adherence to operational procedures are paramount. This position is crucial for the efficient movement of goods and the overall success of our logistics network. You will play a key part in maintaining productivity and ensuring the integrity of our stored products.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach) to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform daily pre-operation inspections of forklifts and report any issues.
- Efficiently and accurately load and unload trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas and production lines.
- Assist with inventory management tasks, including cycle counts.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all Safety regulations.
- Ensure correct use of PPE at all times.
- Must be capable of Lifting items up to 50 lbs when required and performing other manual tasks.
- Support the daily Logistics operations by ensuring timely material movement.
- Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and management.
Candidates must possess a valid forklift certification and demonstrable experience. A strong understanding of warehouse safety standards and efficient material handling practices is required.
