Our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania location is seeking a dedicated Receiving Clerk to manage incoming goods. This crucial role ensures the accuracy and efficiency of our inventory management and logistics operations. You will be responsible for receiving deliveries, meticulously verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for any damage, and accurately recording all items into our system. Maintaining precision and adhering to strict Safety standards are paramount. The ideal candidate is organized, possesses strong attention to detail, and can work effectively in a fast-paced warehouse setting. You will be a key point of contact for inbound shipments, ensuring a smooth transition from vendor to inventory.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and process incoming shipments.
- Compare received items against purchase orders and packing slips for accuracy.
- Inspect goods for damages and discrepancies, reporting any issues immediately.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory control system using scanners.
- Label and prepare received items for storage or distribution.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and wear appropriate PPE.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting duties.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role is highly desirable.
- Proficiency with scanning equipment and basic computer applications.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform tasks for extended periods.
- Must be capable of Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Demonstrated commitment to workplace Safety.
