We are hiring a Receiving Clerk at our Nashville, Tennessee distribution center. This role is vital for ensuring the integrity of our inventory and the smooth operation of our inbound logistics. You will be responsible for receiving, inspecting, and processing all incoming shipments. This involves verifying quantities against orders, checking for damages, and accurately documenting all received goods into our system. A keen eye for detail and a commitment to Safety are essential. You will work in a dynamic warehouse environment and interact with drivers and internal warehouse staff. Your accuracy in this role directly impacts inventory levels and prevents errors in downstream operations. We seek reliable individuals dedicated to maintaining efficient and organized receiving processes.
Responsibilities:
- Unload and receive incoming freight efficiently.
- Verify product counts and check for damages against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Accurately enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Tag and prepare items for storage or further processing.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving dock area.
- Follow all established Safety procedures and wear required PPE.
- Report any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Ability to perform moderate Lifting of packages.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or receiving position is a plus.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with scanners.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Must be able to handle occasional Lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Familiarity with warehouse Safety practices.
- Understanding of basic logistics flows is beneficial.
