Join our team as a Picker/Packer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and be a vital part of our efficient logistics operation. This role focuses on accurately fulfilling customer orders by picking items from inventory and preparing them for shipment. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, energetic, and committed to maintaining high standards of accuracy and safety. You will work within a dynamic warehouse environment, collaborating with colleagues to meet daily targets. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the logistics and e-commerce sectors. Daily tasks include using RF scanners to locate and pick products, verifying items and quantities, and carefully packing orders for dispatch. We encourage a team-focused approach and emphasize precision in every task. Employees will be provided with necessary PPE and trained on safe lifting and handling techniques. Help us ensure timely and accurate deliveries from our Milwaukee distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse locations based on order details.
- Use RF scanners and other technology to manage inventory and track picks.
- Verify item numbers, quantities, and product quality.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment, ensuring product protection.
- Prepare shipping labels and documentation.
- Stage packed orders for carrier pickup.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and general warehouse area.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and company guidelines, including the use of PPE.
- Follow proper lifting techniques to prevent strain or injury.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous picking and packing experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret order forms and product labels.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and related warehouse technology.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and reach for extended periods.
- Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Familiarity with logistics operations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
